Nice find by Patrick Welker for scanning installed apps for URL schemes. The database is still pretty bad. Entries lack descriptions of what the scheme parameters are. It would be great if Apple made this easier.
A clever tutorial for controlling an LED from an iPhone. The tutorial includes the ObjC code too.
I like words. I'm not a word snob, but I've always loved opening a dictionary or encyclopedia and reading a random passage. I loved my high school thesaurus until the cover fell off and pages trickled across my college campus.
It's nice to know that there are other people like me in the world. They are the people that Wordflex Touch Dictionary1 is made by and for. Wordflex is a word lover's $13 nocturnal fantasy.
Michael's elegant application of Launch Center Pro. I only really use Launch Center for actions not just launching another app.
See also Ken Case's description of the URL schemes available in OmniFocus.
The most profitable game we've ever made, in terms of man years invested versus revenue, is actually Infinity Blade. It's more profitable than Gears of War.

Federico Viticci has a sizeable and high-quality review of Reeder 3 on MacStories. There's so much great writing about the world of Apple products.
Shawn Blanc takes the air out of the room with one of his classic app reviews. This is Shawn at the top of his game and why I gladly pay for a membership.
Oh yeah, Reeder 3 looks awesome. I'm a devoted Fever user and I've been patiently waiting for support in the best iOS feed reader around.

I like PhatPad.1 I really do. Its handwriting recognition on iPad is unbeatable. But boy, did they hurt their ratings with this last update. It required an uninstall before updating.
Most reviewers don't read the update notes. That "Update All" button is just too tempting. I don't know the technical motivations for requiring an uninstall before updating, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to make anyone happy. Uninstalling an app is the first step to never using it again.
Maybe I'm a bit slow but my latest accidental discovery is the gesture to show the Inbox in Mail on iPad.
While in portrait orientation, slide a finger from left to right to show the current mailbox. To hide the mail box, slide from right to left (or just tap outside of the mailbox).
Of course if I just read the damn manual, I would have learned this much sooner.
