It’s a disconcerting look at how insidious purposeful-ignorance is and how the story never really changes. My dad had a saying when I was a kid: “A lie is as good as the truth if you can get someone to believe it.” He wasn’t the greatest role model but he was pretty spot on with that one. But you can be pretty sure that anything someone makes money on is probably a lie at some level.
