Scarcity Is a Expletive Business Model Link

They want to stick with scarcity. So they lost a transaction last night. And they lose transactions every night, to piracy, to competing forms of entertainment, and possibly to apathy brought about by frustration. Such a shame.

That's the thing. Big Media isn't just losing out to piracy. They are losing out to other forms of entertainment. If I don't think I'll get to see an entire series like Game of Thrones, then I don't even bother trying to watch part of it. I'm just not willing to invest that much time and energy into something that is actively trying to make itself hard to get.
